What is in the Louisville-area senior care directory?

The directory lists every senior care license Kentucky's Office of Inspector General shows for Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt, Shelby, Spencer, Henry and Trimble counties in its October 2026 directories, 315 rows in all, with CMS Care Compare ratings for the 47 certified nursing homes.

Where does the directory's data come from?

Only from bulk official data: OIG's monthly facility directories for license type, number, capacity and expiration, and CMS's Provider Information dataset for nursing home star ratings, inspections, staffing and fines; we do not use aggregator listings, operator marketing or reviews, and we do not rate anyone.

Kentucky does not publish assisted living inspection findings in a database, so those rows show license data only. OIG's GenSearch database has nursing home and personal care home inspection findings. Every listing page carries a “Source” line with the data date.

How do I use the listing pages?

Each listing page has a search box and filters for county, city and license type (and CMS rating for nursing homes), and every column can be sorted by clicking its heading, so you can, for example, list every ALC-DC license in Oldham County by unit count.

Why do only nursing homes have their own facility pages?

Because CMS publishes rich, structured data for certified nursing homes (ratings, inspections, staffing, turnover, fines) while Kentucky's roster for assisted living, personal care, adult day and home care gives license data only, which fits in a table row but not a page.

We would rather show a complete, sortable row than pad a thin page. If Kentucky begins publishing assisted living licensure findings in bulk, those communities will get pages too.
